Sitting here on the bed in Dylan's house. Nate O. and I be thinkin 'bout you all. Cause life in MN and WI boondocks is dark and unmotivational and icy and spikes are useful when running around. I (Nate) find here (Dylan's home) much love and shit stacked everywhere. But that's all good, cuz dylan is the man! State highways make travelling WI hard when one is running, so instead, we use the fields of North Crawford High School. (Dylan does that is). Nate meanwhile takes a few days off from running, to traverse icy-ass roads, dropping off old friends and visiting DK. Dylan snowboards, gets permanent scars from exposure because running in -50F (w/ windchill) is a BAD idea, and is then generally lazy, except for a little jogging. Nate tried to use a bed to sled down a hill at Lawrence U. the other day with friends, which is a GOOD idea, but failed miserably. He also climbed very icy steps on a train track bridge over a frozen river, which is a BAD idea. By the way, selling your soul to the devil (AKA Wal-Mart) for some crappy Faded Glory blue jeans is a GOOD idea, especially if you are tricking the bastards because you already sold it to Charlies Bar and Grill down the road and what you just gave the un-unionized poor cashier is actually a black squirrel soul. Visiting Dylan is a GOOD idea, if only for a night. Visiting Nate can also be a GOOD idea, because he will be hella bored in Northfield until he leaves later this month. Also, watching "Die Hard: With a Vegence" is an EXCELLENT idea if it is too cold, dark, and icy to go run. Yippeekayay mothaf**ers! That's all from Lake Woe-be-gone.
